Because a Meet Director is responsible for everything that happens at a meet, they need to be able to step in to do any job, including:
- Weigh-ins
- Equipment Check
- LiftingCast (Scoring, Assigning Flights, re-lifts)
- Drug Testing
- Uploading Results
- Recording Referee Duties
- Submitting Drug Test Kits

Work as many meets as possible! You should be mentoring under an experienced Meet Director. There is no way to prepare you enough. We learn something new EVERY meet! And we learn from sharing stories and others experiences.

Many of the things a Meet Director does are unseen. Creating a budget, keeping the athletes updated, recruiting enough staff, having a back up plan for . . . literally anything! These are the things done before and after the meet. Make sure to learn all the details before jumping in! That's what we're here for!
