Meet the Directors of USA Powerlifting California

Steps to become a Meet Director through mentorship with experienced guidance and team support.

Step by Step

As the Meet Director, you are responsible for everything that happens during the meet. This means that a Meet Director must be equipped to handle any situation that arises. This includes knowing how to effectively schedule and plan a meet, order the lifter flights, and understand all the rules that apply both on and off the platform. Additionally, you need to manage the scoreboard and liftingcast, oversee weigh-ins for athletes, including both guest lifters and those who may be over or under weight, as well as handle drug tests and record keeping. You will also need to address any errors, manage relifts, resolve misloads, and oversee the deadlift 3rd attempts, all while ensuring accurate results are uploaded.
