 *Registration Timeline* 

  • State Registration:
    September 6th:
    Open to only CA USAPL Members with a 75kg total or higher from January 1, 2025 or later. 
  • Open Registration:
    October 4th until meet capacity is reached to all USAPL Members.

 *Meet shirts are included* 


IF REGISTRATION TIMELINE IS NOT FOLLOWED YOU WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE ROSTER WITHOUT A REFUND. 


Only USA Powerlifting state members can compete in their designated Championship. Guest lifters (i.e., lifters from a state outside of the region) are allowed but not eligible for awards. Guest lifters may set State and National records and may earn a qualifying total for a national meet. Guest lifters are subject to all normal rules of competition.  


If you plan on attempting a National record you must complete the following form before the event:

Eligibility: You must be a resident of California.  Out of state lifters may compete as guest lifters. ALL Lifters must be current USA Powerlifting members, ages 8 & older. For Open Registration, No qualifying total needed.

6:30am Weigh-in (Have opening attempts ready in KGs) 

8:30am-2:30pm Lifting 

Session 1 awards immediately after completion  


Session 2 

1:00pm Check in/Rack heights (Have UPDATED USAPL card and photo ID ready along with all equipment) 

1:30pm Weigh-in (Have opening attempts ready in KGs) 

3:30pm-8:30pm Lifting 

Session 2 awards immediately after completion 


Sunday 

Session 3 

6:00am Check in/Rack heights (Have UPDATED USAPL card and photo ID ready along with all equipment) 

6:30am Weigh-in (Have opening attempts ready in KGs) 

8:30am-12:30pm Lifting

 All athletes must stay until the end of their respective awards for drug testing. 10% of all athletes will be tested. If you need to leave early please check out with the meet director.  


There will be zero tolerance for arguing with any staff members and you will be asked to leave. 

Records

American and State Records can be set/broken. This is the only California meet where official American Record Attempts can be taken. (Other than Collegiate AR's at the USA Powerlifting Collegiate Series Meet)

 HIGH-LEVEL SUMMARY:  


California State Championships  Only USA Powerlifting state members can compete in their designated Championship. Guest lifters are subject to all normal rules of competition and must meet the same qualifying criteria to enter.  


The QT for States is 75kg. The QT must have been achieved at a USA Powerlifting sanctioned 3-lift meet since January 1 of the previous year.

National or higher referees will be available officiate this meet so National Records can be attempted.  


There will not be a Jury for this event.  


 Reminders: 

Deadlift socks are required and must cover the entire shin. YOU MUST STICK WITH THE BAR AT ALL TIMES. Any purposely dumping of the bar will result in ejection of the meet. There is only one minute to inform the scorers table of your next attempt selection and it must be in KG’s. If you fail to inform the scorers table within the allotted one minute time frame, your next attempt will be increased by 2.5kg if your previous attempt was a good lift or repeated if you failed the previous attempt. For all other attempt selection rules, regulations, equipment requirements, and general rules please reference the USAPL rulebook:   USA Powerlifting Rulebook [English] – Version 2025.2 (Effective January 29, 2025)   


All Lifters and Meet Participants, including Loaders, Spotters, Platform Workers, and Referees for the meet must sign the waiver: https://form.jotform.us/81291659084161  


All spectator and coaching passes will be available for purchase on EventBrite. Spectators will be allowed in 30 minutes prior to the start time of each respective session.


MEDIA:

Breaking PR's is the Official Media.  Due to the USA Powerlifting Media policy, Media must be approved. Anyone else using professional photography equipment will be asked to leave.  Friends and family wishing to take photos with a phone or regular camera may.
